We purchased a piece of cheese cake there last summer. Got it home, opened it and there was mold on it. Immediately took it back and they refused to refund my money or exchange it. We are back again this summer. Bought a half gallon of milk. Got it home, opened it. It's spoiled. Sausage we purchased tastes funny. But, we're not laughing.
The Fresh Market has the potential to be a great place to shop on the island, but visitors and locals, too, deserve to feel welcome and their business wanted.
I went in to buy Vanilla Wafers. When I questioned why they were SEVEN DOLLARS for one small box, the extremely rude elderly woman proceeded to rant that "this is an island and I have to have them SHIPPED in and you should see my grocery bill, blah, blah, blah!" Obviously, she is a very miserable and unhappy old woman and does NOT know how to deal with the public. Needless to say, I did NOT buy the wafers and I will NOT shop there again. The Piggly Wiggly across the road and other shops on the island has my business.
Mildly decent selection but everything cost 2-3 times as much as anywhere else and half of it is expired. Been in three times this week and no one from the staff has as much as glanced in my direction. I know prices may be higher because if the location and stocking costs, but this is outrageous. Store is in not clean and staff doesn't seem to care.
Small place with all around stuff for all needs with good prices.
Good selection of wine, small store bare necessities. Chicken and tuna salad are delicious.
